I understand that one end is tied to the ski, but how is it installed on the leg or boot? I have seen another model in which the bag is tied to the boot.

4cm wide 150cm long. If you´re going into really deep powder, I´d suggest buying 2 sets and sewing them together to create 1 really long set. I have 1 double set and 1 normal, for different conditions.
