opt is a lightweight down hooded jacket with the ultimate combination of warmth and durability, perfect for alpine use.
The face fabric of the jacket is a castor bean-based ripstop, providing superior tear resistance without added weight. Filled with 800 fill-power white goose down, this jacket offers durable warmth in a lightweight package. Lopt features include two zipped front hand pockets, one serving as a packable pouch, a snug-fitted hood suitable for wearing under a helmet, and a slanted two-way front zipper for ventilation with a chin-protective placket at the top. Double fabric at the shoulders and seamless construction at the top prevent abrasion and chafing. Reflective triangles on the front and back enhance visibility in low light conditions.

Levitend®:
- Levitend® are our Polyamide based apparel fabrics. Depending on the intended use, Levitend® can include a mix of other fibers, such as polyester and Elastane. Our goal is to make Levitend® fabrics in full compliance with our strict requirements for sustainability and quality.Polyamide (Nylon) is a synthetic fiber that creates extraordinarily strong and versatile fabrics with high abrasion resistance, very good resilience to wear and tear, and a high breaking extension.The Polyamides we use are derived from recycled, bio-feedstock and virgin sources. Please see ‘Polyamide’ for more information about the different choices regarding the origin of Levitend®.

RDS-Certified Down:
- At Klättermusen, we use only 800+ fill power goose down of the highest quality as insulation in our down products. Few competitors can match our warmth-to-weight ratio, and our down keeps its shape and insulating properties for decades if taken care of properly.
All the down we use is RDS- certified (Responsible Down Standard).RDS-certified means that the entire supply chain is audited, and the welfare of the birds is respected during their entire life cycle. For example, live-plucking and force- feeding of the animals is strictly forbidden and all the down is fully traceable back to the farm. We have chosen to work with chlorine-free, unbleached down, which means that a few feathers in every down product will be dark. If you encounter a feather visible through the outer fabric, gently squeeze or shake it until the feather has disappeared.

Bluesign®:
- Durable water repellent - commonly referred to as DWR, is a treatment which creates a water repellent (hydrophobic) surface on a fabric. The water repellent prevents the fabric from becoming saturated with water which both affects the function of the garment and the user experience.

Durable Water Repellent:
- All types of DWR become less effective over time, because of wear, washing and ultra-violet radiation from the sun. This degradation over time requires re-proofing the fabrics which can be performed at home using wash-in or spray-on DWR.Klättermusen uses DWRs 100% free of fluorocarbons. We were the first outdoor company to completely remove PFOA (one of the most hazardous fluorocarbons) from all garments already in 2008.Fluorocarbons are commonly used because they technically are effective – however, they are also an endocrine disruptor proven to cause reproductive harm. Fluorocarbons present a growing problem in nature and the outdoor industry which professes to care about nature.


Care:

Washing & Care:
- Machine wash at 40°C or less on reduced cycle. Do not bleach. Moderate-temperature drying. Iron at low temperature. Dry clean.
