This jacket closes the gap between the storm protection of a hardshell and the comfort of a softshell. The body-mapped design uses biobased Polartec® Power Shield™ Pro fabric with a waterproof membrane for exposed areas. High-sweat zones feature breathable, recycled nylon double-weave fabric with 4-way stretch for comfort and durability. Part of the iconic Eiger Nordwand range and tested by our athletes, all the features have a focus on repairability and longevity. Our design approach maximizes performance with fewer resources, creating more environmentally conscious products for the most extreme conditions. Stretchability:
- Outdoor clothing must not be constricting. It must be elastic without losing its shape and should give you maximum freedom of movement. The more flexibility your activity requires, the more important stretchy material is.

Durability:
- For your garment to last you a long time despite plenty of abrasion or rock contact, it has to be hard-wearing. Then less abrasion-resistant, lighter clothing can be an advantage.

Windproofing:
- Windproof clothing keeps you from getting cold on breezy peaks or blustery trails and minimizes the wind chill effect, which is your body´s heat loss accelerated by wind. Pay special attention to this factor when your pace is high and conditions are cool and windy.

Breathability:
- Especially for fast-paced activities, you need breathable clothing that regulates your body temperature, wicks away sweat, allows air to pass through, and so keeps you comfortable.

Quick drying:
- To prevent you from losing heat during a break at the summit, your clothing must wick sweat and moisture away from the skin and allow it to evaporate quickly. The more you sweat during an activity, the more important it is for it to dry quickly and have breathability.

Packability:
- On multi-day adventures or other activities with a lot of equipment, space in the backpack is at a premium. Similarly, for those aiming to travel fast and light, packability is essential. This factor may be less relevant if protection and durability are the top priorities.

Technology:

PFC-free DWR:
- Perfluorinated compounds (PFCs) are often used for waterproofing but are practically non-biodegradable. Mammut is committed to replacing non-biodegradable fabric treatments with more sustainable high-performance alternatives.

Care:

- Do not bleach
- Do not dry clean or use solvents to remove stains
- Max. ironing temperature (110° C) Take care when steam ironing
- Gentle iron the garment (warm, without steam) with cloth in between to reactivate the DWR treatment
- Tumble dry gentle
- Machine wash on gentle cycle (max. 30° C)
