Nidecker Scamp Snowboard

Category: Snowboards
Subcategory: Boards

Meet the Scamp, the perfect launchpad for future rippers and the ultimate first snowboard to get your child hooked on the shred. Designed specifically to make the learning process fun, intuitive, and confidence-inspiring, the Nidecker Scamp is the ideal choice for any young rider taking their first steps on the snow. This mini-sized true twin board is engineered to feel natural underfoot, making those initial turns and slides feel less intimidating and more like pure play.

The key to the Scamp´s remarkable ease of use is our forgiving EZ-Rock profile. This innovative design thoughtfully lifts the board´s contact points just off the snow, which drastically reduces the chance of catching an edge—a common frustration for beginners. This feature provides a stable, predictable ride that allows kids to build confidence quickly, focusing on the thrill of gliding rather than the fear of falling. The result is more time spent smiling and less time sitting on the snow.

Built for progression from day one, the Scamp features a symmetrical true twin shape. This is a crucial element for first-timers, as it rides exactly the same in either direction. This allows young riders to freely experiment and discover whether they prefer a regular or goofy stance without the board feeling any different. As their skills develop, this twin shape becomes the perfect platform for learning to ride switch and attempting their first basic tricks, setting them up for a future of freestyle fun. A soft, forgiving flex lets young riders easily maneuver and control their board, empowering them to start exploring the mountain with you.

We understand that kids´ gear needs to be durable. That´s why the Scamp is built around a full wood core, providing a responsive and reliable feel that you’d expect from a high-quality snowboard. This is protected by a tough-as-nails N-5000 base that is designed to withstand the learning curve, offering excellent glide and durability that keeps the board running strong, season after season. While engineered for youth, the Scamp incorporates the same quality principles found in our adult, men, and women´s snowboards, ensuring it´s a genuine piece of performance equipment, not a toy.

With its sweet, eye-catching graphics and five available sizes from 80cm to 120cm, there is a perfect Scamp for every grom. The Scamp’s artwork is also designed to be a perfect match for our Nidecker Ollie binding, allowing kids to enjoy a custom, coordinated set-up right from the start. Give your child the best possible introduction to snowboarding with the Nidecker Scamp.
