Rossignol Opside vest

ROSSIGNOL Opside Men´s Vest - Thermal & Windproof Layer for Skiing & Hiking

Embrace cold days on the mountain with the ultimate versatile layer: the men´s ROSSIGNOL Opside Vest. Engineered for performance and adaptability, this thermal vest is your go-to solution for maintaining core warmth without sacrificing mobility. Whether you´re exploring backcountry trails on a Nordic ski tour, charging down groomed slopes, or enjoying a brisk hike in changing conditions, the Opside vest provides the perfect balance of insulation, breathability, and protection. Its smart, streamlined design makes it an essential piece for any man´s outdoor apparel collection.

Designed as a dynamic component for your layering system, the Opside truly shines in its versatility. On frigid ski days, wear it as a low-profile mid-layer under your shell jacket to lock in essential heat where you need it most. When the activity level rises and your body starts to generate heat, it excels as a standalone outer piece. This windproof vest shields your core from chilling gusts while allowing excess heat and moisture to escape, ensuring you stay comfortable and regulate your temperature from start to finish. Its compressible nature means it packs down easily, making it a convenient and indispensable item to carry in your pack for when the temperature drops.

Experience unmatched Freedom of Movement thanks to the innovative stretch fabric that is woven into the vest´s construction, allowing it to move seamlessly with your body. The design also incorporates preshaped sleeves for a natural, unrestricted range of motion, crucial for activities like polling in cross-country skiing or scrambling over terrain while hiking. This focus on mobility is complemented by the vest´s Classic Fit, which provides a flattering, tailored cut that looks sharp on its own and layers smoothly without unnecessary bulk. The thoughtful, hood-free design further enhances its capability as an efficient mid-layer, eliminating interference with your jacket´s hood.

At the heart of the Opside Vest is the lightweight, breathable, and recycled warmth of Breathable Primaloft® Black insulation. This high-performance synthetic insulation is a game-changer, offering exceptional thermal properties that keep you warm even in wet conditions. Unlike down, it maintains its insulating power when damp and dries quickly. It provides this warmth without bulk, helping to regulate your temperature as you warm up to prevent overheating. In a commitment to sustainability, this insulation is GRS Certified (Global Recycled Standard) and features 100% post-consumer recycled insulation made from plastic bottles. For added protection against unpredictable weather, the vest´s outer fabric is treated with a PFC-Free Durable Water-Repellent (DWR) coating. This eco-friendly finish effectively sheds light snow and rain, keeping you dry and comfortable without the use of toxic fluorocarbon-based chemicals.
