SCOTT Explorair Ascent Gloves

Conquer your next ascent with the SCOTT Explorair Ascent gloves, the ultimate choice for high-output mountain adventures where dexterity, protection, and minimal weight are paramount. Engineered for the dedicated ski tourer and versatile enough for any outdoor enthusiast, these gloves provide the perfect balance of performance and comfort. Whether you´re navigating a sun-drenched glacier, embarking on a multi-day ski tour, or enjoying a brisk hike in transitional weather, the Explorair Ascent is designed to be your reliable companion.

The SCOTT Explorair Ascent is a light, stretch and windproof glove for long ski tours in sunny winter days. Its leather palm and finger fourchette provide maximum durability. It is also the perfect glove for all your year around outdoor activities. This glove´s intelligent design focuses on delivering exactly what you need for active use. The back of the hand is crafted from a softshell material that offers crucial windproof protection while maintaining exceptional two-way stretch, ensuring your hands can move naturally without restriction. On the palm, a supple yet incredibly durable goat leather provides a confident grip on ski poles, ice axes, or trekking poles, while also standing up to the rigors of mountain environments season after season.

Designed with meticulous attention to detail, the Explorair Ascent features flex zones integrated across the knuckles. This enhances articulation, allowing for a natural hand position and preventing fatigue when gripping equipment for extended periods. For those cold, crisp days on the mountain, a soft microfiber panel on the thumb serves as a convenient nose wipe. When the intensity rises and you need to de-layer, a built-in carabiner loop allows you to securely clip the gloves to your pack or harness, keeping them safe and accessible. The fit is perfected with a simple and effective Velcro closure at the cuff, which seals out drafts and snow while providing a secure, personalized fit.
