Designed for the dedicated amateur and fitness enthusiast, the Stabil 16 empowers you to play with explosive power, unwavering stability, and supreme comfort from the first whistle to the last.

Feel the game-changing energy with every single step. The core of this shoe´s exceptional performance lies in the legendary adidas BOOST midsole. This revolutionary technology provides maximum energy return, absorbing the impact of your landings and converting it into propulsive force for your next move. Whether you´re driving past defenders for a powerful shot or rising high above the net for a decisive block, the BOOST midsole ensures you have the endurance and explosive power to outplay the opposition throughout the entire match.

Confidence is key when making game-changing plays. The Stabil 16 features a meticulously designed chassis construction that securely locks your foot in place, providing a stable and supportive platform. This essential feature gives you the confidence to execute razor-sharp cuts, sudden stops, and dynamic pivots with absolute precision and control. The reinforced toe adds another layer of durability, protecting against drag and abrasion during intense lunges and slides, ensuring your trainers are as resilient as your spirit.

Stay cool and focused when the pressure mounts. During intense play, maintaining comfort is crucial for peak performance. The adidas Stabil 16 is constructed with a lightweight, breathable mesh upper and a ventilated tongue. This combination creates a constant flow of air around the foot, wicking away heat and moisture to keep you feeling cool, dry, and comfortable. Now you can focus entirely on your strategy and leading your team to victory, free from the distraction of overheating.

This product is also a part of our journey towards a more sustainable future. It features at least 20% recycled materials, a testament to our commitment to innovation that respects our planet. By reusing materials that have already been created, we help to reduce waste, lessen our reliance on finite resources, and reduce the footprint of the products we make. Perfect for handball!! My son already had identical ones and they are for giving them a good workout! Especially for indoor sports, handball, volleyball, etc. In total I have already bought 3 pairs, one pair on this platform and so far my 2 sons are delighted. One plays senior handball and the other plays cadet handball. I would buy them again. As for the platform. Everything is great, a lot of variety, many prices, it´s hard not to find what you´re looking for, there´s everything!!

Have always been confused why Adidas radically changed Stabil designs from the likes of 7, 8 and 9 (which were great squash shoes) to the sock type shoe but this new Stabil is similar to these earlier models and definitely worth trying. I’m a 9.5 and these fit perfectly. Much more room over the top of the foot so you don’t dislocate several fingers as much easier to get on than the 14-15 Stabil model. Loads of grip and cushion and really stylish too. More colours please. Awesome shoe

Ideal buyer profiles

General buyers seeking stable indoor court shoes

This buyer is looking for a reliable training shoe for indoor court sports like handball, volleyball, or squash. They prioritize stability, control, and comfort during dynamic movements. As an amateur player or fitness users, they value performance features that support their active lifestyle without needing professional-grade specifications.

The adidas Stabil 16 is an excellent match, designed specifically for indoor court sports. Its chassis construction provides enhanced stability and locks the foot in for superior control. The combination of a lightweight, breathable mesh upper with a ventilated tongue keeps feet cool, while the BOOST midsole delivers responsive cushioning. This model also features a reinforced toe for added durability and is made with at least 20% recycled content.

Competitive features

When choosing the right indoor court shoe, stability, energy return, and a secure fit are paramount. The Adidas Stabil 16 is engineered specifically for the dynamic, multi-directional movements common in sports like handball, volleyball, and squash. It enters a competitive field alongside versatile trainers and specialized footwear, each offering a different approach to performance and comfort.

Where it excels

The Adidas Stabil 16 is explicitly designed for indoor court dominance, featuring a chassis construction that provides exceptional stability for sharp cuts and pivots. It incorporates a BOOST midsole, a technology engineered for maximum energy return to support explosive, supercharged movements during intense play. With a breathable mesh upper and a design focused on secure footing, this shoe is built for dedicated amateurs and fitness users who require peak performance and durability for their indoor sports.

Consider alternatives if...

For athletes seeking a minimalist or barefoot training experience, alternatives like the Vivobarefoot Motus or Vibram Fivefingers V-Train 2.0 offer a distinct approach focused on ground feel rather than cushioned stability. Runners or individuals looking for a general-purpose cross-training shoe might find models like the On Running Cloud X 4 better suited for activities that are not exclusively court-based.

Verdict

The Adidas Stabil 16 is a top-tier choice for athletes who play indoor court sports and demand high performance. Its specialized features, including the stability-focused chassis and energy-returning BOOST midsole, make it a powerful tool for gaining a competitive edge. While other trainers may offer more versatility for general fitness or a different training philosophy, the Stabil 16 excels in its intended environment, providing the power and agility needed to dominate the court.
