TRW MCTL174 lowering kit

TRW MCTL174 Lowering Kit: Ultimate Control and Confidence for Your Ride

Elevate your riding experience by bringing your motorcycle closer to the ground with the TRW MCTL174 Lowering Kit. As a premier upgrade for your motorcycle´s suspension system, this kit is expertly engineered to enhance both safety and handling, giving you a newfound level of confidence every time you throw a leg over the saddle. Designed for riders seeking a more secure and comfortable stance, this upgrade is the key to unlocking a more connected and controlled journey.

The primary benefit of installing the TRW MCTL174 is the significant improvement in ergonomics and safety. The kit achieves a lowering of the rear suspension, which, depending on your specific motorcycle model, ranges between a substantial 20mm and 40mm. This vertical adjustment at the rear axle results in a perfect, lower seat height. For many riders, this means the ability to firmly plant both feet on the ground when stopping. This eliminates the precarious balancing act at traffic lights or on uneven surfaces, providing unshakable stability and safe standing, which is especially beneficial for riders with a shorter inseam or those handling heavier bikes.

Beyond the immediate safety and comfort benefits, lowering your motorcycle´s center of gravity with the MCTL174 kit can also lead to noticeable improvements in handling dynamics. You may experience enhanced stability during cornering and a more planted feel on the road, inspiring greater confidence in your machine´s capabilities. This isn´t just a modification for comfort; it´s a genuine performance upgrade that refines your connection to the road.

TRW´s commitment to quality and precision is evident in the manufacturing of every component. The rear lowering linkages are crafted from superior materials, ensuring maximum durability and reliability. Depending on the specific design type for your motorcycle (Type01, Type03), the components are made from high-quality, laser-cut steel for immense strength. All other types are meticulously CNC-machined from a solid block of high-grade aluminum, guaranteeing a flawless fit and finish with exceptional strength-to-weight characteristics. This precision engineering ensures that the kit integrates seamlessly with your motorcycle´s existing suspension geometry.

Crucially, this upgrade is fully road-legal and hassle-free. The TRW MCTL174 Lowering Kit is supplied with an ABE (Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis / General Operating Permit). This certification confirms that the product has been rigorously tested and approved by German TÜV authorities, allowing for legal use on public roads in Germany and many other European countries without requiring a separate, individual inspection. This gives you complete peace of mind, knowing your upgrade meets the highest safety and regulatory standards.

Transform your ride with a simple yet highly effective modification. The TRW MCTL174 Lowering Kit offers the perfect synthesis of improved safety, enhanced comfort, and sharpened handling, all backed by the world-renowned engineering of TRW.
