Vertex Piston 24448A piston kit

Vertex Piston Kit 24448A (Pro Replica) for Yamaha YZ 450 F - Engine Top End

Restore peak performance and reliability to your Yamah´s engine with the VERTEX PISTON 24448A piston kit, the premier choice for a top-end overhaul. As a world-leading manufacturer of high-performance pistons, Vertex brings its Italian engineering excellence and racing pedigree directly to your machine. This kit is meticulously designed for riders who demand uncompromising quality, durability, and power output, making it the ideal solution for refreshing the heart of your motorcycle´s engine.

Experience the benchmark in engine performance with a piston that is trusted by top race teams and OEMs worldwide. The 24448A is a Pro Replica piston, meaning it is a forged piston designed in the original OE form. This ensures a perfect, drop-in fit while providing a significant upgrade in material strength and resilience compared to cast alternatives. The forging process, utilizing superior 2618 aluminum, grants the piston exceptional strength and durability, making it capable of withstanding the extreme pressures and high temperatures of modern four-stroke racing engines. This focus on being a forged OE replacement means you get enhanced performance without sacrificing the factory-engineered reliability you depend on.

Vertex´s commitment to durability is evident in every detail. All pistons undergo a specialized T-5 hardening and tempering cycle. This advanced heat treatment process ensures the piston has uniform structural integrity, superior strength, and excellent thermal stability for a long and reliable service life under demanding conditions. To further enhance performance and longevity, all piston skirts are coated with a high-tech Molybdenum Disulphite coating. This advanced coating significantly reduces friction between the piston and cylinder wall, leading to a faster and more effective break-in period. More importantly, it increases the overall piston life by minimizing wear, ensuring your engine runs smoother for longer.

This Piston Kit is the complete, high-quality solution for your top-end rebuild. As a direct OEM replacement, all components, including the replica piston and rings, are engineered to meet or exceed original specifications, guaranteeing seamless integration and trusted performance.
