Posets crampons are designed to ensure exceptional performance on glacier, ice or snow terrain.

With 12 manganese steel spikes, 8 located at the front and 4 at the rear, they provide a secure and stable grip, even on the most demanding surfaces.

Their sole includes antibott plates that prevent snow build-up, ensuring that the crampon remains effective during use in extreme conditions.

Length adjustment is via perforated plates, and a pair of extra perforated plates are included for smaller sizes, preventing the plate from protruding from behind and ensuring a perfect fit.

Made from high-strength materials, such as 65Mn steel for the spikes and adjustment plates, TPU for the fasteners and polyester for the straps, Posets crampons are robust and durable.

The weight of the pair varies between 998g and 1030g, depending on the adjustment plate, making them a lightweight and efficient option for activities on frozen terrain.

LUIS ANTONIO

Very good quality, they feel sturdy, well-packaged with their carrying bag, they feel like good rigid quality and without fear that the sharp edges of the crampons will easily puncture

A recommended choice

I was surprised at how good they are. I tried them on my shoes and they seem to fit well. There is a replacement insert ,for smaller sizes. They look good quality. I can't wait to try them on the mountain in real conditions.

The crampons come in a special case that allows them to be safely transported, for example, in a backpack or attached to a backpack. Putting them on is easy; instructions are included in the package, but they're unnecessary anyway, as they're intuitive to put on. The adjustments allow for a wide range of sizes. I recommend them.

Good value for money

Oscar

Although I haven't tested them in the snow, they look very good, and their short auxiliary bar allows them to be used by smaller foot sizes, which is usually a problem with other, much more expensive crampons.

What a surprise!

Very good crampons, I couldn't beat other brands, very easy to put on and they don't weigh much.

Hi! Is it possible to convert these to semi-auto? Do these share similar rear sections with other crampons? Thanks!

Answer of Alan Michael

Excellent touring crampons, good value for money. A bit heavy but for the price they are great! The rear piece (the heel cup) should have holes or side tabs specifically designed to pivot the "quick heel" (the lever closure). The Altus Posets are a strap model (classic), and their rear structure is designed only to hold the plastic/nylon straps. Even if you could "adapt" a part from another brand, the steel structure of the Posets has not been tested for the tension exerted by the quick release of a semi-automatic.

Hello, I have a question, are these suitable for a 44 Chiruca boots? Please answer. I just cancelled at the last minute because I said yes, you don´t even say what sizes they are suitable for. What´s the deal?

Answer of Juan Alvaro

Hello, if they are adjustable they are suitable for small and large sizes. They have a plate for smaller feet. In my case, with size 45 Bestards they fit perfectly. In my group, there are 3 of us who have these crampons and they fit both small and large boots.

Answer of Vincent

I wear a size 44, in big mountain boots.

Alberto

Hello, has anyone measured how much they stretch or used them with snow boots? I´m looking for crampons that fit size 45 snow boots and I don´t know if these go that far.

Answer of Andrei

With wide snow boots quite close to size 42 snowboard boots, there are about 4 cm left to reach the full extension. Perhaps a bit more if you push to the limit. These boots measure 30 cm on their sole. If your snow boots measure that, about 34-35 cm could be placed in the crampon at its maximum extension. I don´t know if that will be the case for your size 45 boots, as each brand and model sizes differently. Measure the sole of your boot and you will know if it fits or not. Knowing that the crampon is at its opening limit, you will have to avoid using it on very technical or hard-use ascents, only on easy routes
