The goal of Mips®-equipped Giro helmets is to reduce rotational forces and improve fit and comfort by combining the Mips® slip-plane with the helmet´s adjustable fit system.

Giro believes that helmets equipped with this technology can reduce the amount of rotational force that can be transferred to a rider´s brain in certain impacts.

The two-piece shell combines a tough outer shell with a polycarbonate lower shell that is permanently fused to the liner for durability without excess weight. The In Form 2 Fit System is lighter and lower profile than the original, and easier to custom-tune in seconds, even with gloves on.

The improved dial design allows for up to 6cm of adjustment, plus greater stability. For optimal performance of both helmets and goggles, Giro products are designed to work together, ensuring a seamless interface between helmet and goggles for exceptional fit and reliable, worry-free operation. Our Stack Vent system was developed based on research showing that most of the warm air that can cause fogging comes from the center top vent of goggles.

Aligning the helmet´s Stack Vent with the goggle´s center vent helps keep goggles clear and fog-free. It accommodates different goggles and head shapes for a custom fit with no gaps. The unobtrusive design of the exterior vents and interior channels, including the liner and padding, combine to create optimal airflow and temperature regulation.
