Product description of K2 Diversion MIPS helmet

Description summary

Charge from deep tree lines to high-speed groomers with total confidence. The K2 Diversion MIPS helmet combines a lightweight, low-profile hybrid design with top-tier MIPS protection. You´ll forget you´re wearing it thanks to the custom 360 K2dialed™ fit and user-controlled Dual Active Matrix venting for perfect temperature control. All-mountain and bike-certified, it´s the ultimate helmet for versatile, all-season protection

From chasing the sneaky hidden honey holes deep in the trees, to high-speed arcing on afternoon groomers, the last thing you want to worry about is protecting your most precious asset (that’s your brain). Now available with an optional MIPS liner for increased protection, the Diversion rocks a low-profile design, 360 K2Dialed fit, and Dual Active Matrix venting so you’ll forget that you’re even wearing a helmet.
MIPS is a brain protection system integrated into select K2 helmet models that can offer increased protection in falls where the head experiences rotational forces from contacting the snow or other objects.
This unique construction features the best of both In-Mold and Hard-Shell constructions. The primary In-Mold construction makes the helmet incredibly light, while the secondary Hard-Shell upper allows for increased durability
User-regulated Active Matrix venting combined with integrated Passive Channel venting.
Compression-formed, precision-fit liner with removable ear pads and neck roll for a convertible, customizable fit.
The 360° K2Dialed™ Fit System is an evolution of the K2Dialed™ Fit System, delivering unparalleled comfort around your entire head. An intricate web design results in 360 degrees of even pressure distribution for a secure and snug fit that you customize with the twist of a dial.
Ability to easily remove ear pads for reduced bulk while retaining the fit system.
Exceeds the US standard ASTM F2040 Standard Specification for Helmets Used for Recreational Snow Sports and the European standard EN 1077 Helmets for alpine skiers and snowboarders.
Certified for cycling by the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the European Cycling Standard.

What our customers are saying about K2 Diversion MIPS helmet

This high-performance helmet offers a perfect fit and excellent safety features, including MIPS technology. Its adjustable ventilation system works effectively, and the quality construction is noted as a significant upgrade from previous models. The design is attractive, with a sleek aesthetic. Comfort and a lightweight feel contribute to its appeal, and it accommodates various goggle brands without gaps. A minor design drawback is the goggle strap retention clip, which can be insecure, though this is considered an easily fixable issue

The helmet fits perfect and the adjustable ventilation works great

Great except for goggle retentention.

John

This helmet is great with good fit, comfort and weight and looks good. 3 goggles from different makes all fit snug with no gap. Only down side is there is no secure retentetion clip to hold the goggle strap. While it is convenient to have the little clips on the side of the helmet, the clips only hold the edges of the strap, making it very easy for the goggles to pop off the helmet during a fall but also whenever the goggles are lifted up off the face and sitting on the helmet. The problem was easy fixed with a releasable cable tie. Definitely something the manufacturer needs to address in a high end helmet.

Perfect fit !!!

Kon Rous

Perfect fit, very easy to assemble / disassemble and at the same time very safe, I had the previous model and the change to the technical level is brutal, also with MIPS. The only thing that does not come with headphones like the previous model, but nothing happens, I have bluetooth. The old one lasted 8 years and broke a part of my ear. Pretty cool design, with the straight carbon (not carbon). 100% recommended product and at the best price on the web and other pages. I could not apply the discount "Black Friday" but I have written an email and that's it, 20 bucks less. SnowInn team you are the best! 1000 thanks.

Can you connect the helmet audio via bluetooth ? does it have a microphone to answer calls ? How long in the audio battery life about?

Answer of Frédéric

Unlike the first image, this headset does not have audio function. Pay attention. Otherwise, I bought another one with the audio function, it´s only by connecting a jack cable. You have to take a cable that has the + - function and unhooked to be able to respond while skiing, which is normally delivered with the helmet, but of limited quality: mine quickly broke, I bought a solid one.

Answer of Fabrice

Hello, Unfortunately the visual is deceptive, there is no audio system on the new model. It was present on the old model (non-MIPS), connectable only via the jack to only listen to sound (there was no microphone, no battery, no Bluetooth).

Thomas

Hello, Is this the 2024 version? If so, isn´t there a photo error that shows a headset with audio function while the latest versions of the headset do not have it.

Answer of Frédéric

I had ordered and returned the helmet because the audio is not present on the MIPS version. The photo is indeed misleading. On the other hand, the 3D 360° shows the helmet without audio.
