I haven't tested them enough yet. While the ankle is fairly well protected from the cold, I find the insulation for the sole insufficient. The part of the sole that wraps around the toes and the sole of the foot (excluding the heel) is too thin, which allows the cold to penetrate easily. Furthermore, it doesn't protect the foot from uneven terrain, so at least for me, any hard surface (rocks, tree trunks, icy ground, etc.) digs into my foot. So far, I've only tested them in the Pyrenees, and that's my opinion. My feet ended up quite sore, even though I didn't do a very long hike.

Great for late autumn and winter.

No, the Kamik sizes fit the label very well. I would stick with size 42. If you´re more of a 42.5, I´d go for size 43.

I normally wear a size 43, but it was too small. Size 44 was perfect for me.

Order the size u would wear in a hiking boot. I found the sizing guide on this website gave me a size too big. I am a size 42, my hikibg boots are 43 but the size recommended was 44. Too big. Manageable but big.
