I get the previous Polar strap with H10 one year ago and it lasted very short, it cracked on the plastic part, maybe the product was left in the magazine for a long time before selling (I hope). I bought my first Polar strap in 2004 with an old S725 that lasted for more than ten years without problem, but made in Finland, opposite to new one made in Malaysia. For this reason I decided to give another chance to Polar strap and rebuy one to check if the quality remains and can last for more then a year, since the Polar strap is very comfortable to wear and reliable for collecting data.

I have tried many heart rate monitor bands and this is undoubtedly the one that best resists corrosion from water and sweat. Spectacular Polar quality. The only drawback is that you have to buy the large size separately because it does not come with the sensor that has a maximum size XL.

The original strap worned-out after the 2 and a half years of 4+ weekly 2h+ bike/run/SUP sessions all year around in every outdoor conditions. Last week I noticed that some applications (Coros, GRV4training) are getting erratic HR/rMSSD readings (interestingly Polar Beats seemed OK). The battery of the H10 seemed half-full (also measured with the multimeter/resistor), I did replace it but the problem persisted (had seen such issue before when the battery was actually drained empty). So it seemed that the strap has finally given up and became unreliable (for last few days I am again getting good readings...). This replacement seems of the same quality as the strap that came with the H10. For now it works just fine.
