SMITH Mission MIPS Ski & Snowboard Helmet

Discover the perfect blend of timeless design, proven protection, and incredible value with the SMITH Mission Alpine Skiing Helmet. Engineered for the skier and snowboarder who demands performance and reliability, the Mission elevates your on-mountain experience. It´s the helmet that embodies the Smith philosophy: Where Classic Styling Meets Everlasting Value, The Mission Brings The Proven Fit And Function Of Smith Helmets To An Audience Who Will Never Again Call This Piece Of Gear “Just A Helmet.” This makes it clear that the Mission is a significant step up from basic head protection, offering a premium experience that prioritizes your safety and comfort on every run.

The foundation of the Mission´s protective capability lies in its advanced construction. The Lightweight In-Mold construction fuses the exterior shell and EPS foam into a single, sleek unit, creating a helmet that is both remarkably light and exceptionally durable. This is enhanced by Smith´s revolutionary Aerocore™ construction, which strategically incorporates Koroyd® material in key zones. This tubular core structure is designed for superior impact absorption while simultaneously promoting outstanding airflow, keeping you both safer and more comfortable. For an elite level of protection against rotational forces, the MIPS® Brain Protection System is available in all colors, engineered to reduce the dangerous rotational motion transmitted to the brain from angled impacts to the head.

Personalized comfort and a secure fit are paramount for a long day on the slopes. The SMITH Mission delivers with an intuitive Adjustable Dial Fit System (DFS2), which allows for easy, on-the-fly micro-adjustments to ensure a perfect, snug fit around your head. Manage your temperature with precision using the Regulator adjustable climate control. With 14 strategically placed vents, you can easily open or close the ventilation system to adapt to changing weather conditions, preventing overheating during intense runs and conserving warmth on cold lift rides. The Snapfit SL ear pads provide cozy warmth and are designed for seamless integration with your favorite aftermarket audio systems.

Experience ultimate integration and fog-free clarity with Smith´s signature AirEvac™ ventilation technology. This system is meticulously designed to work in harmony with Smith goggles, actively pulling warm, moist air away from your goggles and exhausting it through the helmet´s vents. This continuous airflow ensures your vision remains crystal clear from the first chair to the last lap. The Mission helmet is more than just protection; it´s a fully integrated piece of equipment designed to enhance every moment of your alpine adventure.

Is the MIPS system in the Smith helmet Mirror white?

It is a nice helmet. The safety is also good thanks to the MIPS technology. What is extra nice about this helmet is that the ventilation in the helmet can be regulated thanks to a slide on top of the helmet.

ric

Please confirm this is the MIPs version of this helmet. I have ordered the helmet as the description and images say mips, but there is no description in the order confirmation saying MIPs. Thanks

Answer of Fiona

My helmet also wasnt a MIPS, despite the description (the pictures) said it would be so: https://www.tradeinn.com/snowinn/es/smith-casco-mission/137724304/p Instead it came with a Coroyd system. I have read on the web that Coroyd is also good this is why I decided to keep the helmet. Hope this helps :)
