Already owning the smaller version (which might be more versatile overall), I was once again impressed by the build quality of this Medium packing cube. The 100D ripstop nylon feels lightweight yet rigid, holding its shape even when empty. The main zipper gives structure to the cube before you even start packing, while the second compression zipper removes excess air and keeps the cube flat and compact in your bag. The YKK zippers run smoothly and don’t snag, even when the cube is filled to the brim. The discreet side handle is also useful for pulling it out of a backpack or suitcase without disturbing the rest of your packing. Roomier than the Small version, this cube is ideal for slightly bulkier clothing. I easily packed a full cotton pajama, a pair of lightweight trousers, and a thin sweatshirt. The compression zip still worked great with that load. It does get a bit tight if you try to pack heavier items like thick sweaters or multiple pairs of jeans, but for typical travel clothing, it works very well.
