Protects water from entering the ear

Good morning. All good? I would like to know if this product protects the entrance of water into the ear. I have a problem with water getting into my ear and even with an earplug I have had constant infection. Thanks.

Unfortunately not I find that it actually keeps water in around your ears.This is my first time to use this type of swim hat and because of the strap it tends to hold water
