Description summary

The primary function of the Zone3 open water Swimming Gloves is to keep your hands insulated from the cold. The bodys extremities such as hands and feet always feel the cold the most so these gloves are designed to allow swimming in cold water be more manageable.

Features:

- Unique design with longer length and Velcro strap to prevent the gloves falling off
- High stretch 2mm neoprene designed to be a tight but comfortable fit.
- Gripped palm for more feel in the water and stability.

KEY FEATURES:
- After testing most swimming gloves on the market Zone3 found that they nearly all started ballooning with water during swimming and started to slip off the hands. A design solution was found by increasing the length of the gloves so they can be tucked over or under the wetsuit to ensure no exposed skin and also adding a Velcro strap to keep the glove in place.Zone3 have also removed the webbing between the fingers, which other brands tend to use, to make swimming feel much more natural and less fatiguing.

A novel experience

Using gloves for sea swimming is a bit of an experiment for me. I probably don't need them for warmth because the Zone 3 vest does the trick. Still, it was interesting and for waters below 13 degrees, gloves would be favorable. My hands were definitely warmer and there is a bit more scooping ability, as though you are using small paddles. The arms feel a bit heavier though, lugging water laden gloves through the ocean. The velco straps remained in position and the gloves remained tight on my hands without slipping down. They felt good, but a bit unusual, having ,never swam with gloves before. You can wear a watch over the top quite easily, but I chose to start my tracker and then cover over and tighten the velcro. So far so good.
