PANINI Bem 01 Comic | A Dark Sci-Fi Mystery Begins | Spanish Edition

Step into the shadows of a city divided. Discover the first gripping volume of the BEM saga, a masterful blend of neo-noir detective mystery and supernatural horror, brought to you by PANINI Comics. This is not just a comic; it is an entry into a world where justice is a luxury and humanity is a prize to be won. Perfect for mature readers and collectors in the Fan Zone, this volume kickstarts a thrilling new series that will leave you questioning the very definition of monster and man.

In the sprawling metropolis of Libra City, a stark line divides the privileged from the damned. Sonia is a young, idealistic police detective who finds her world turned upside down. After a clash with authority, she is unceremoniously transferred from the glistening Acropolis, a high-tech haven where wealth and power are concentrated, to the gritty, crime-infested "Outskirts." This decaying outer section of the city is a world she barely knows, a place where corruption festers in every alleyway and hope is a forgotten currency.

Assigned to a series of bizarre and brutal murders that baffle the local police force, Soni´s investigation pushes her deeper into the city´s dark underbelly. The clues lead her not to a human culprit, but to something else entirely. In the midst of her dangerous pursuit, she encounters three mysterious, grotesque-looking beings: the stoic Bem, the volatile Bela, and the mischievous Belo. While their monstrous appearances incite fear and disgust, Sonia quickly learns that these creatures, known as "yokai-ningen," are not the cause of the city´s decay. Instead, they are its fiercest protectors, fighting a secret war against malevolent monsters that prey on the innocent. These three beings fight tirelessly to protect humanity, driven by a desperate desire to one day become human themselves. Caught between a corrupt system and a supernatural war, Sonia must decide who to trust in a city where the true monsters often wear human faces.
