Panini Cinema Purgatorio 01 comic

PANINI Cinema Purgatorio 01

Step into a world of cinematic horror and surrealist satire with PANINI´s Cinema Purgatorio 01, the essential first volume of a groundbreaking comic book anthology. This is your exclusive ticket to a mysterious, dilapidated movie theater where the films are always in black and white, and the stories they tell bleed from the screen into a terrifying reality. This volume is a must-have for any serious collector and a cornerstone of the Fan Zone´s Books and Comics subcategory.

At the heart of this collection is the marquee presentation from two of the most legendary creators in the medium. Cinema Purgatorio 1-3 USA: The new work by Alan Moore and Kevin O’Neill. The visionary writer of *Watchmen* and *V for Vendetta* reunites with the master artist of *The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen* to deliver a chilling, analytical, and utterly unique narrative. Together, they guide you through the inner workings of the film world as never seen before in a comic book. Witness a dissection of cinematic history, from its silent pioneers to its blockbuster monoliths, all through a lens of biting criticism and supernatural dread. O’Neill´s incredibly detailed and expressive black-and-white art perfectly captures the grotesque and fascinating vision of Moore´s script.

But Cinema Purgatorio is also the setting for four other series by prestigious authors such as: Kieron Gillen, Garth Ennis, Max Brooks and many more. This anthology format provides unparalleled value, offering five distinct and compelling narratives within a single volume. Each story explores different facets of horror, history, and humanity:

* Code Pru by Garth Ennis (*Preacher, The Boys*): Follow a paramedic in New York City who discovers the secret supernatural world that hides just beneath the surface of everyday life, dealing with monsters as part of her nightly rounds.
* Modded by Kieron Gillen (*The Wicked + The Divine*): Enter a post-apocalyptic world inspired by Pokémon and Mad Max, where daemon-possessed pets engage in brutal arena combat.
* A More Perfect Union by Max Brooks (*World War Z*): Experience a vividly reimagined American Civil War, where the conflict is not just between North and South, but against a terrifying invasion of giant insectoid creatures.
* The Vast by Christos Gage: A gripping war story set during World War II, focusing on the colossal scale and psychological terror of aerial combat against monstrous foes.

This Spanish-language edition from PANINI meticulously collects the initial US issues, presenting them in a high-quality format perfect for both new readers and devoted followers of these iconic creators. It is more than just a comic; it is a curated experience and an exploration into the darkest corners of storytelling. Owning this volume means securing the beginning of one of the most ambitious and critically acclaimed comic projects in recent memory.
