The MC100CM is a multimedia converter designed to convert 100BASE-FX fiber to 100Base-TX cable or vice versa.

Designed to IEEE 802.3u 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX standards, the MC100CM is used with multimode fiber optics using the SC connector.

The MC100CM supports shortwave (SX) laser at full wire speed transfer rate.

It works at 1310nm transmitting and receiving data.

Other features of this module are the possibility of use as a stand-alone device (without the need for a rack or with TP-LINK´s 19´´ system rack, Auto MDI/MDI-X for the TX port, Duplex mode autonegotiation on the TX, and status LEDs on the front panel.

The MC100CM transmits through multimode optical fiber, increasing the fiber distance up to 2 kilometers.
