Haven´t tested them yet, but I am going snowboarding next week and since I am a beginner, I will for sure test them a lot. I´ve put them on and they are very light weight,very comfortable and you can barely feel them on. The protection areas have a hard cover on top and foam underneath and these seem really sturdy to me. They also seem to cover well all the crash areas, especially the lower spine bone.
Pay attention to the size.

Great product. Order a size larger than usual. The pant fits very tight and is impossible to wear in the size we use for our everyday pants.
