I had the opportunity to try the new Special Power 2022, one of the big surprises of this season from Black Crown and the truth is that it has left me with a very good feeling, a racket for a top level!
With its teardrop shape, it has a high balance and offers a greater hit from above, although I have not noticed less control because thanks to the Extended Sweet Spot Area technology its sweet spot is very wide, which makes it easier to hit from any position on the court.
Something that I really liked is that the racquet has a rough surface like Sandspin sandpaper, with which you can get better spin on your shots.
This racket is aimed at those who like to hit the ball hard, as its 100% carbon fibre composition makes it lighter and more powerful in shots from above. This is one of the best electric racquets on the market, a high performance racquet with a semi-hard touch to get the ball out of the court.
TECHNOLOGIES
The Black Crown Special Power delivers spectacular handling and power thanks to its 2 TB Air frame made of a double tubular.
In the construction of the padel racket, the so-called 15K Power carbon fibre has been introduced, which makes the feel drier and harder. It combines very well with a new dual density foam with which, depending on the speed at which we hit the ball, we will notice a different touch.
This fabric combines with the dual density 3xPlay Eva rubber inside, which has two different hardnesses; a softer one on the outside and a medium hard one on the inside.
The Black Crown Special Power is equipped with Ergonomic Handgrip technology, a grip that adapts to the natural shape of the hand. You can feel a much more comfortable grip, facilitating agility of movement.
OPINION
In my opinion it is a strong padel racket, it does not neglect control, as it offers a good sweet spot that will help us to correct off-centre hits. Mostly it is aimed at an advanced and aggressive player, as I said before, its strong point is the power in the backhand. If you want to implement power in your game, this is your racquet!
