CONTOUR Protective Mesh Panel 2x1m

Extend the Life and Performance of Your Climbing Skins

Protect your most critical backcountry investment with the CONTOUR Protective Mesh Panel. Designed for dedicated ski tourers and splitboarders, this essential accessory is the ultimate solution for preserving the adhesive on your climbing skins. Every backcountry enthusiast knows the frustration of skins contaminated with pine needles, dirt, or hair, or the struggle of pulling apart skins that have been glued to themselves. The CONTOUR Protective Mesh Panel elegantly solves these problems, ensuring your skins are always ready for the next ascent.

Maximize Longevity and Maintain Peak Performance

The primary function of this high-quality mesh is to act as a barrier between your skin’s adhesive and the elements, both during storage and in your pack. By applying the mesh directly to the glue side after each use, you create a clean, reliable surface that prevents debris from compromising the tackiness. This simple step significantly extends the lifespan of your skin´s adhesive, saving you from costly regluing services and ensuring consistent, reliable grip on the uptrack when you need it most. Keep the adhesive clean and fresh by sticking the mesh on it.

Effortless Transitions and Hassle-Free Storage

Streamline your transitions from ski to tour mode. The Protective Mesh Panel prevents the common and time-consuming issue of skins sticking to each other. This makes peeling, folding, and packing your skins faster and far less strenuous, especially in cold, windy, or challenging alpine conditions. The unique mesh construction also allows moisture to escape, helping the adhesive to dry properly and preventing the glue degradation that can occur when stored on impermeable plastic sheets. This breathability is key to maintaining the long-term health and performance of your adhesive.

Customizable for a Perfect Fit

This versatile kit is designed to accommodate a wide range of climbing skins. The package includes two generous 1-meter long pieces, available in widths of 120 mm and 140 mm, providing ample material to create a custom-fit solution for your specific gear. Simply lay your skin on the mesh, trace its shape, and cut for a perfect match. This DIY approach ensures complete coverage for any skin, from narrow race models to wide powder-day splitboard skins.

An indispensable part of any ski touring accessory kit, the CONTOUR Protective Mesh Panel is a small investment that delivers a massive return in performance, convenience, and the longevity of your climbing skins. Ensure every tour starts with clean, perfectly tacky skins ready to take on the mountain
