Oakley MOD1 MIPS Junior Helmet: Pro-Level Protection with Skate-Style Cool

Equip the next generation of mountain shredders with the Oakley MOD1 MIPS Junior Helmet, the ultimate fusion of classic skate-inspired aesthetics and cutting-edge alpine safety technology. Engineered specifically for young skiers and snowboarders, this helmet delivers confidence-inspiring protection and all-day comfort, allowing them to focus on honing their skills and exploring the entire mountain.

A lightweight and low-profile design inspired by the classic skate-style helmet. The MOD1 Youth fit delivers simplicity with premium functionality for wherever your on-mountain adventures take you. It’s built to provide a secure, comfortable, and stylish solution for young riders who demand the best in performance and protection.

Unrivaled Safety and a Perfect Fit

At the core of the MOD1 Junior is the industry-leading MIPS® Brain Protection System. This low-friction layer integrated into the helmet is designed to reduce rotational motion transferred to the brain from angled impacts to the head, providing an essential layer of advanced protection for the developing brain.

Achieving the perfect fit is effortless thanks to the fully adjustable BOA® 360 Fit System. This intuitive dial design provides a customized, 360-degree wrap that securely cradles the head, eliminating pressure points and ensuring the helmet stays perfectly in place through every turn, jump, and tumble.

Youth-Specific Design for Optimal Performance

Oakley’s dedication to a superior youth experience is showcased in its unique fit system.

Youth Fit ´´Wheelie´´ Wedge:
This removable youth fit wedge insert is expertly designed to help prevent the helmet from rocking backwards and creating a ´´wheelie effect´´. By keeping the helmet properly positioned, it helps to ensure greater forehead coverage and promotes a more seamless, gap-free integration between the helmet and goggles, enhancing both safety and comfort.

Premium Features for the Young Adventurer

The MOD1 MIPS Junior is packed with features designed for convenience and performance on the slopes. The FIDLOCK® Buckle utilizes magnetic technology, allowing for quick and easy fastening and unfastening, even with bulky winter gloves on—a feature both kids and parents will appreciate. Fixed ventilation channels strategically placed on the helmet allow hot air to escape, preventing overheating during intense sessions while maintaining a sleek, low-profile look.

For added comfort and hygiene, the helmet includes a removable liner and earpads, which can be easily taken out for machine washing or to accommodate wearing a beanie underneath on colder days. Finally, brim ventilation in the front of the helmet allows for airflow through the goggle, helping to combat fog and ensure clear vision run after run.
