Oakley MOD1 Alpine Ski Helmet: Timeless Style Meets Premium Functionality

Discover the Oakley MOD1, a helmet that redefines on-mountain simplicity with its lightweight and low-profile design, directly inspired by the classic, clean lines of a skate-style helmet. Engineered for skiers and snowboarders who demand both style and substance, the MOD1 delivers premium functionality for wherever your alpine skiing adventures take you. This helmet is a testament to the idea that true performance doesn´t require complexity, offering a streamlined experience from the first chair to the last run. Its minimalist aesthetic masks a wealth of technology designed for ultimate comfort, convenience, and protection, making it the perfect companion for carving groomers, hitting the park, or exploring off-piste terrain.

The MOD1 is available in three distinct fits (Standard, Asian, and Youth), ensuring a near-custom feel for a wide range of head shapes and sizes. At the core of this exceptional fit is the innovative Boa® 360 Fit System, providing a fully adjustable and secure wrap that eliminates pressure points and ensures the helmet stays perfectly in place during dynamic movements. This focus on all-day comfort is further enhanced by a suite of intelligent features. The Fidlock® Buckle utilizes seamless magnetic functionality, allowing you to effortlessly fasten or unfasten your helmet´s chinstrap with just one hand, even while wearing bulky winter gloves. Say goodbye to fumbling in the cold and hello to effortless transitions.

Climate control and goggle integration are paramount for a full day on the snow. The MOD1 addresses this with a Fixed Ventilation system that allows hot air to escape from the top of the helmet, helping to regulate your temperature during high-exertion activity. This works in perfect harmony with the specialized Brim/Goggle Ventilation. This crucial feature creates an unobstructed channel for hot, moist air to flow from your goggle, through the helmet´s brim, and out the top vents. The result is significantly better anti-fog performance, ensuring your vision remains crystal clear when you need it most. For versatility across changing weather conditions, the removable liner and earpads are machine washable for easy cleaning and allow you the freedom to wear a beanie or your goggle strap underneath the helmet for a personalized setup.

Main Features:

* Boa® 360 Fit System: A fully adjustable design is engineered to help deliver an exact, personalized fit that cradles the head with 360-degree security.
* Fixed Ventilation: Strategically placed vents allow hot air and moisture to escape from the top of the helmet, promoting a comfortable internal climate.
* Fidlock® Buckle: Seamless magnetic functionality lets you fasten your helmet with gloves on, providing ultimate convenience and security without the hassle of traditional buckles.
* Removable Liner/Earpads: Allows for easy cleaning as it is machine washable, adaptable for various weather conditions, and provides freedom to wear the goggle strap underneath the helmet.
* Brim/Goggle Ventilation: Allows hot air to flow unobstructed from the goggle through the brim ventilation for better anti-fog performance and clear vision.

I’ve been really happy with the Oakley MOD 1 Poseidon. For the price, it honestly feels like a top-level helmet. The bright Poseidon color looks great in real life and doesn’t get dirty or scratched easily. It fits comfortably, sits well on the head, and just feels solid overall. Really glad I picked this one up.

Very comfortable and light helmet. You barely notice you´re wearing it. When it comes to sizing, it might run small. I wear a size 56 and the M fits me well, but if the size is 57 or larger, an L would be better

The product matches the description, however, it runs small. I ordered a size M, which corresponds to a 55/59 cm head circumference, but my head circumference is 55 cm and the helmet doesn't fit.
