Don´t plan on lifting anything other than roof boxes or kayaks, you risk tearing off the small wheels although Thule also indicates a maximum load capacity of 100 kg. I have an XL box like in the picture and it works very well.

If the object to be attached is wider than the horizontal side distance, the distance will be shortened downwards. I attach a roof tent with the Thule Lift and get a distance of maybe 120 - 150 cm. If the rope I received (10m long, 5mm diameter) is too short, you can easily replace it with a longer one.
