Hi, should this neoprene vest be worn under a wetsuit for open water swimming?

I use mine under my wetsuit. It’s a fantastic piece of kit for when the water starts to get colder. Your head, neck and back all stay warm. I try and swim all year round , I use this with my summer wetsuit when the sea starts to get cold and my thermal wetsuit in the winter months. Could do without it.
