ALESSI MT18/3 B Moka Espresso Coffee Maker: An Icon Reimagined for the Modern Kitchen

Elevate your daily coffee ritual with the ALESSI MT18/3 B Moka Espresso Coffee Maker, a masterpiece of design and functionality. This is more than just a coffee maker; it´s a sculptural piece that pays homage to the timeless tradition of Italian espresso while embracing a contemporary aesthetic. Designed by the celebrated architect David Chipperfield, the MT18/3 B is a familiar yet surprisingly innovative object, destined to become the centerpiece of your kitchen. Experience the perfect synthesis of form and function, and savor the rich, aromatic espresso that has defined Italian coffee culture for generations.

The Moka is a tribute to Alfonso Bialetti, the inventor of the original Italian Moka Express and the maternal grandfather of Alberto Alessi. Chipperfield’s design respectfully reinterprets this classic, introducing a series of thoughtful details that enhance both its appearance and usability. The coffee maker features a distinctive eleven-sided body, a unique architectural element that sets it apart from traditional octagonal pots. This considered design choice, combined with its sleek black finish, creates a powerful visual statement on any stovetop or countertop.

One of the most intelligent features of this design is the flat lid. It is specifically created to serve as a convenient platform where you can place your espresso cups to warm them gently using the residual heat of the pot. This ensures your coffee is served at the ideal temperature, preserving its full-bodied flavor and rich crema from the first sip to the last. This thoughtful detail transforms the simple act of making coffee into a refined and complete experience. As one of the premier Espresso machines in the Moka pot category, it promises an authentic and satisfying brew every time.

Crafted from high-quality cast aluminum, the body of the ALESSI Moka is engineered for optimal thermal conductivity. This ensures that heat is distributed evenly and efficiently, a critical factor for extracting the full depth of flavor and aroma from your coffee grounds. The result is a consistently delicious, robust, and authentic espresso, perfect for starting your day, enjoying a midday break, or finishing a meal in true Italian style. The ergonomic handle provides a comfortable and secure grip for safe and easy pouring.
