B+w MRC Basic 77 mm UV Filter

B+W MRC Basic 77mm UV Haze (010) Filter | Professional Lens Protection & Image Clarity

Elevate your photography and safeguard your most valuable gear with the B+W MRC Basic 77mm UV Haze Filter, a masterpiece of German engineering from Schneider-Kreuznach. Designed for discerning photographers who refuse to compromise on quality, this filter serves a dual purpose: enhancing image clarity by cutting through atmospheric haze and providing robust, permanent protection for your lens´s front element. It is the essential accessory for anyone shooting with a 77mm diameter lens, from ambitious enthusiasts to seasoned professionals.

The classic amongst the B+W protection filters blocks the annoying UV component of daylight. Invisible UV light is more intense in pure sea air and in high mountain regions and can cause blurring and a blueish cast. The colour-neutral B+W 010 UV Haze filter is equally suitable for both analog and digital cameras. It ensures more brilliant images and can remain on the lens permanently as front lens protection. By filtering out this invisible spectrum of light, your images will exhibit greater sharpness, improved contrast, and more accurate colour rendition, especially in outdoor and landscape photography.

At the core of this filter´s superior performance is the acclaimed B+W Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC). This sophisticated, multi-layered coating on both sides of the glass minimizes reflections and ghosting to less than 0.5%, ensuring maximum light transmission and preventing any degradation of your image quality. The final layer of the MRC coating is an incredibly hard, hydrophobic, and oleophobic surface. This advanced technology repels water, dirt, and oily fingerprints, making the filter exceptionally easy to clean and maintain, even in challenging weather conditions. It also provides a crucial layer of scratch resistance, protecting the high-quality Schott glass beneath.

Crafted with legendary B+W precision, the filter features a matte black brass mount. This is a significant advantage over common aluminum mounts, as brass is more durable, resistant to temperature-induced expansion and contraction, and ensures a smooth, bind-free attachment and removal process every time. This precision engineering guarantees a perfect, secure fit on your lens without the risk of cross-threading or getting stuck. As an indispensable piece of protective equipment, this UV filter acts as a first line of defense against dust, moisture, accidental impacts, and scratches, potentially saving you from a costly lens repair. For photographers who demand uncompromising optical purity and robust physical protection, the B+W MRC Basic 77mm UV Haze filter is the definitive choice.
