B+w MRC Basic 82 mm Protector Filter

B+W MRC Basic 82 mm Protector Filter

Safeguard your valuable lens with the B+W MRC Basic 82 mm Protector Filter, the ultimate invisible shield for photographers who demand uncompromising image quality. This filter fulfils the wish of many photographers for a pure lens protection without filter effect. It is meticulously engineered in Germany to provide superior defence for your lens´s front element while remaining completely transparent to the light passing through it, ensuring your images retain their original clarity, colour, and contrast.

Its only function: to keep dirt, sand or splash water away from the front lens. Whether you are shooting in challenging outdoor environments, bustling cityscapes, or controlled studio settings, this protector filter acts as a first line of defence against scratches, smudges, dust, and moisture. By absorbing potential impacts and contaminants, it preserves the pristine condition of your lens´s expensive and delicate front element, offering you invaluable peace of mind and potentially saving you from costly repairs.

The heart of this filter is its construction. The particularly clear special glass with high transmission is MRC-coated. This advanced Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) by B+W is a sophisticated multi-layer system that delivers multiple benefits. Firstly, it drastically reduces reflections and prevents ghosting, ensuring that maximum light reaches your camer´s sensor for images that are crisp and free from unwanted flare. Secondly, the MRC treatment creates an outer layer that is harder than glass, offering exceptional scratch resistance. Finally, its hydrophobic and oleophobic properties repel water and oil, meaning fingerprints and water droplets bead up and wipe away effortlessly, making cleaning in the field quick and simple.

Precision-engineered for a perfect fit, the filter features a robust, matte black brass mount that ensures durability and prevents binding or cross-threading on your lens. The slim profile of the BASIC mount is specifically designed to prevent vignetting, even on wide-angle lenses. The mount is suitable for wide-angle lenses up to 24mm (KB) or 18mm (APS-C), allowing you to capture expansive scenes without any dark corners appearing in your frame. Invest in the legendary quality of B+W and give your 82mm threaded lens the essential, high-performance protection it deserves.
