BOYA BY-P100 Professional Windshield (100mm) | Capture Crystal-Clear Audio Outdoors

Elevate your audio recordings from amateur to professional with the BOYA BY-P100, an essential accessory for any videographer, filmmaker, or sound recordist working in challenging outdoor environments. Designed to deliver superior wind noise protection, this professional-grade windshield, often referred to as a "deadcat," ensures that your audio remains crisp, clear, and free from the distracting rumble and distortion caused by wind. Whether you are shooting a documentary on a breezy coastline, conducting an on-location interview, or capturing ambient sounds for a film project, the BY-P100 is your first line of defense for achieving pristine, broadcast-quality sound.

The primary benefit of the BY-P100 is its exceptional ability to attenuate wind noise, reducing it by up to 40dB in moderate to high-wind conditions. This drastic reduction allows the microphone´s diaphragm to capture the intended sound source—be it dialogue, music, or environmental effects—with remarkable clarity and fidelity. By isolating the microphone from turbulent air, it effectively eliminates the low-frequency noise that can render an otherwise perfect take completely unusable. This saves valuable time in post-production and guarantees a more professional final product, making it an indispensable tool for anyone serious about audio quality.

Engineered for performance and reliability, the BOYA BY-P100 features an advanced two-stage wind shielding system. An integrated inner layer first works to diffuse and slow down air movement around the microphone capsule. This is complemented by a dense outer layer that provides a robust barrier against strong gusts and turbulent air, effectively neutralizing their impact before they can reach the microphone. This dual-layer design is acoustically transparent, meaning it protects your audio from noise without muffling or altering the natural frequency response of your microphone. Your sound remains open, detailed, and true to the source.

With an internal depth of 100 mm, the BY-P100 is specifically designed to provide a secure, snug fit for a range of popular shotgun microphones, including the BOYA BY-PVM1000 and other models of a similar size and diameter. Its flexible, slip-on design allows for quick and effortless installation and removal, so you can adapt to changing weather conditions in seconds without missing a critical moment. Its lightweight construction adds minimal weight to your camera rig or boom pole, ensuring it won´t interfere with your handling or balance during a long shoot. Ideal for electronic news gathering (ENG), field recording, and professional video production, the BOYA BY-P100 professional windshield is the ultimate solution for capturing flawless audio, no matter what the elements throw at you
