Boya BY-P140 professional windshield 140 mm

BOYA BY-P140 Professional Windshield (140 mm) | Capture Crystal-Clear Audio Outdoors

Elevate your audio production and conquer the elements with the BOYA BY-P140, a professional-grade windshield designed for shotgun microphones. Tired of wind noise ruining your perfect take? This essential accessory is the ultimate solution for filmmakers, journalists, vloggers, and field recordists who demand pristine, interference-free sound when recording in challenging outdoor environments. The BY-P140 ensures that your audience hears your subject with exceptional clarity, not the distracting roar of the wind.

Engineered for superior performance, the BY-P140 dramatically reduces wind noise, allowing you to capture clean, usable audio even in blustery conditions. Its advanced dual-layered design is the key to its effectiveness. An acoustically transparent foam inner core provides the first line of defense, while a dense, artificial fur outer layer expertly diffuses wind energy before it can strike the microphone´s capsule. This combination is highly effective at minimizing noise without compromising the natural frequency response of your microphone, preserving the rich detail and nuance of your original sound source.

Designed for a secure and seamless fit, this windshield is optimized for shotgun microphones with a slot length of up to 140 mm. It serves as the perfect companion for a range of popular BOYA microphones, including the BY-BM3030, BY-BM3031, and BY-BM3032, and is also compatible with many other shotgun mics of a similar size from various brands. The slip-on design features a robust base that creates an airtight seal, preventing any wind from leaking in around the microphone´s body and ensuring maximum protection.

Beyond its primary function of wind suppression, the BOYA BY-P140 also provides robust protection for your valuable microphone investment. It shields the microphone capsule from dust, debris, and light moisture, making it an indispensable tool for electronic news gathering (ENG), documentary filmmaking, and any on-location shoot where equipment is exposed to the environment. Its durable construction is built to withstand the rigors of professional use, ensuring reliable performance project after project.

Ideal for a wide range of professional applications:

* Outdoor Filmmaking & Documentaries: Capture clean dialogue and ambient sounds without wind interference.
* Field Recording & Sound Design: Record pure, natural soundscapes for post-production.
* Vlogging & Content Creation: Produce professional-quality audio for your outdoor adventures and travel videos.
