Jhen and his friend Venceslas, a stone carver, have been hired in Bratislava by their traveling companion, Liviu, to direct the spectacular installations that Prince Vlad Dracul wants to put in the castle.

Jhen soon hears disturbing rumors about the disappearances of children, young people, and women, who have never been heard from again.

Adopted by the prince, who asks him to teach his son the principles of architecture, Jhen investigates these strange disappearances
