The Little Republic of San Larco

The small republic of San Larco is not only a charming place to spend the summer on the Mediterranean coast, but also a tax haven whose development is in the hands of a major financial group that plans to expand and internationalize the city, with the approval of the local authorities.

When the people lived there happily, the hyenas and jackals of real estate development arrived.

And with the cement, came the murderers.

Julia Manfredi, the daughter of the chief surveillance engineer of the colossal project, secretly contacts Lefranc.

During the works, he makes a magnificent discovery, but which was going to be fatal for him: the most formidable Gothic crypt imaginable, which remained preserved for centuries.

The authorities prefer to keep this discovery secret, which could jeopardize the works.

The engineer, who is not willing to keep quiet, is murdered, as are the other inconvenient witnesses.

However, Julia has some photos that her father took.

Lefranc will fight alongside the young woman to save the archaeological treasure.

But both will face a conspiracy on a state scale, at the head of which is the fearsome businessman Arnold Fischer.

The latter will resort to Axel Borg, but the latter, who does not approve of Fischer´s methods, will not hesitate to change sides!
