Devir My Island board game

After a long journey, you have arrived on a mysterious island. You build the first houses, create fields and paths through the jungle and advance further and further inland. Every decision counts and will have an impact on the story of your island, so plan your moves well.

The work of the legendary and prolific Reiner Knizia (author of more than 500 titles, including Lost Cities, Mille Fiori and the classic Lord of the Rings) and illustrated by Michael Menzel (the famous author of Andor and The Adventures of Robin Hood), it allows games for groups of 2 to 4 players, ages 10 and up, lasting approximately 30 minutes.

My Island is a game that inherits the mechanics of the successful My City, nominated for the Spiel des Jahres 2020 award. Using a competitive legacy system, players develop their own island from interconnected hexagons. This means that the game will change and evolve as we play games in this game mode. Over the course of 24 games or episodes, players will create a unique island with its own story.

So every new game of My Island will be different from the last. Each game includes new rules and game materials that will permanently change your island. Each player will have their own island, which they redesign with each game. Three games together make up a chapter. And for each chapter there is a sealed envelope containing new rules and various materials that will allow players to change their playing surface again and again.

The goal is to build the pieces so that each one is adjacent to another already built. Unlike My City, in this game the pieces form hexagonal sets, which must be fitted on the board. The goal is to cover certain squares and leave others visible, so that the maximum score can be obtained. At some point in the game, when a player understands that he can no longer get more points, he can withdraw from the game without losing points. When all the players withdraw or when the deck of cards runs out, the counting of the results begins. Each episode has specific objectives that will reward us with more or less points.
