This is not just a movie; it´s a cinematic experience that masterfully blends pitch-black comedy, heartfelt drama, and grotesque absurdity into an unforgettable story. Perfect for collectors of unique world cinema and fans of dark humor, this DVD offers a chance to own a true cult classic from acclaimed director Anders Thomas Jensen. The film introduces us to two socially challenged brothers, Elias (Mads Mikkelsen) and Gabriel (David Dencik), who discover a shocking truth after their father´s death: they were adopted. Their journey to find their biological father leads them to the remote and desolate island of Ork. There, in a dilapidated sanatorium, they find not only their father but also three more half-brothers they never knew existed. This newfound family is anything but ordinary; living in squalor and governed by their own bizarre set of rules and a penchant for violence, they challenge everything Gabriel and Elias thought they knew about family and identity. What unfolds is a darkly comedic exploration of genetics, belonging, and the strange bonds that tie us together, all while navigating a household filled with chickens and shocking scientific secrets.
