This essential entry in the Fan zone´s Books and comics collection invites you to delve deeper into a world where the lines between reality, perception, and the subconscious are horrifically blurred. A masterpiece of the seinen genre, this series is celebrated for its daring narrative and complex thematic depth, making it a cornerstone for any serious manga collector.

The mind-bending journey of Susumu Nakoshi escalates as he grapples with the consequences of a radical choice. Susumu Nakoshi, a 34-year-old man, becomes homeless after leaving his job at a major company. He lives in his car and spends his days in a park where other vagrants gather. There he meets Manabu Ito, a medical student who is recruiting volunteers for a surgical procedure known as trepanation. Although initially uninterested, Susumu agrees to participate in the experiment of having his skull drilled in exchange for a large sum of money. After the operation, Susumu discovers that he now has a new and grotesque vision of the world, being able to see a reflection of the traumas and insecurities that hide in people´s minds. This volume plunges further into the bizarre and revelatory power he now wields, forcing him to confront the distorted inner selves of those around him.

Hideo Yamamoto, the visionary author renowned for his unflinching storytelling, delivers a compelling and thought-provoking experience. The narrative masterfully dissects themes of identity, emotional trauma, and the hidden ugliness of the human psyche. Its benefit lies not just in its thrilling plot, but in its ability to provoke introspection and philosophical debate. The art is a key feature, rendered with meticulous detail that captures both the mundane reality of Susumu´s life and the surreal, often disturbing, nature of his visions. This creates a powerful, immersive experience that is both visually stunning and emotionally impactful. As a celebrated and complete saga, readers can invest in the story with the confidence of reaching a definitive and powerful conclusion. This is the official Spanish edition, ensuring an authentic and high-quality reading experience for Spanish-speaking audiences.
