Move beyond the limitations of your camer´s settings and start shaping light to match your artistic vision.

Achieve Perfect Exposure with Unmatched Precision

The core of this filter is its versatile 2-5 stop light reduction capability, equivalent to a range of ND4 to ND32. This variability allows you to make micro-adjustments to your exposure on the fly, without ever needing to swap out filters. Whether you are shooting portraits on a sunny day and need to open your aperture to f/1.4 for a beautifully blurred background, or you´re a filmmaker needing to maintain a specific shutter speed for the 180-degree shutter rule, this VND provides the exact level of light reduction you need. Effortlessly adapt to changing daylight, from overcast skies to bright midday sun, with a simple twist of the filter.

Industry-Leading True Color Optical Technology

Say goodbye to the frustrating color cast that plagues inferior variable ND filters. The Freewell Real Locking VND is built upon groundbreaking True Color optical technology, ensuring the light passing through the filter remains exceptionally color-neutral. This means your footage and photos will retain their natural, vibrant tones without the common magenta or green tint. By delivering a color-accurate image straight out of the camera, you save invaluable time in post-production, allowing you to focus more on your creative edit and less on color correction.

Innovative Real Locking Mechanism with Hard Stops

Confidence in the field is paramount. Freewell’s innovative Real Locking mechanism is designed to provide a secure and reliable user experience. The filter features physical hard stops at each end of the 2-5 stop range, completely eliminating the risk of over-rotating the filter and encountering the dreaded "X-pattern" or cross-polarization effect that can ruin a perfect shot. Once you set your desired stop value, the robust locking system ensures it stays firmly in place, even during dynamic shoots and rigorous movement. This tactile feedback and secure lock give you the peace of mind to focus entirely on your composition and subject.

Built for the Demanding Professional

Crafted to withstand the rigors of professional use, this Freewell filter features a robust yet lightweight build, making it suitable for a wide range of camera and gimbal setups. The high-quality optical glass is treated with a durable, multi-layer coating that makes it scratch-resistant, waterproof, dustproof, and oil-proof. This protective layer not only guarantees pristine image quality and sharpness but also makes cleaning the filter effortless, ensuring it is always ready for your next adventure. Elevate your photography and videography with a filter that delivers uncompromising performance, reliability, and optical purity
