The day that Taiju Oki, a strong but somewhat clumsy teenager, decides to declare his love to Yuzuriha, something radical and unexpected happens: just one second before the declaration, unknown causes turn the entire humanity into stone instantly.

After 3,689 years and 158 days, during which he has fought to not lose consciousness and disappear, Taiju finally emerges from the stone and returns to normal.

But only to discover that the rest of humanity never woke up from their petrified sleep.

Then he finds out that his friend Senku, an absolute genius with a scientific vocation and a much more pragmatic mentality, has also survived, and together they find a formula to bring back to life many of the statues that have not been shattered over the centuries.

At this point, their goal is to rebuild civilization from its foundations and try to reach the same technological development that existed before the catastrophe of unknown origin.

But they have to do it as quickly as possible because they don´t want to die in the Stone Age.

The mission is to go step by step, reproducing everything that was necessary to turn the raw materials of nature into the things we take for granted today, such as computers, phones, and airplanes.

They will be accompanied on this challenge by Yuzuriha, Taiju´s eternal love, and other colorful characters.

Will they achieve their goal without the wild beasts that now roam the world making a human sandwich out of them? Are there more people who have awakened without help in this verdant world? And if there are more, but not all have such peaceful objectives? Will the combination of brain and muscle serve as the foundation for this new Stone Age of humanity? All these doubts and many more will be answered in the very first volume, opening the door to explore this new world of mysteries.
