My understanding is that desktop burners are more durable or reliable than slim or notebook. This recorder is compliant with all formats: record Blu Ray up to 4 layers (128gb). I haven't tried M Disc but it's nice that it's supported. great price

In spite of the numerous negative reviews I have read about the chain, I received this recorder at the lowest price on the market new, in perfect condition and quickly. I also had a contact with the seller who responded satisfactorily to me immediately. While reporting the same abbreviation of an equivalent model purchased seven years ago and which I broke due to inexperience in transferring it to a new platform, I noticed that the factory that now from LG has become HL (Hitachi-LG) has maintained the same construction characteristics ( manufacturing date is February 2022), except for a ROM update. He has never missed a beat and I expect the same from this latest recorder which worked very well right away.
