Manfrotto 504PLong Video Tripod

Manfrotto 504PLONG Long Quick Release Video Plate

Achieve perfect equilibrium and unlock flawlessly smooth camera movements with the Manfrotto 504PLONG Long Quick Release Video Plate. Specifically engineered for videographers and cinematographers who work with demanding camera setups, this extended plate is the ultimate solution for mastering balance and stability. As an essential accessory for your professional video head, the 504PLONG provides an extended range of adjustment, giving you the precision control needed to produce cinematic-quality footage without compromise.

The primary advantage of this plate lies in its generous 14 cm length. This provides a significantly wider sliding range compared to standard plates, allowing you to perfectly position your camer´s center of gravity directly over the tripod head´s axis. This capability is indispensable when your gear is either front-heavy or back-heavy, ensuring your tilts and pans remain fluid and free from unwanted drift or strain on the fluid drag system. Whether you are mounting a DSLR with a long telephoto lens for wildlife photography, a cinema camera with a heavy battery pack, or a full rig with an external monitor and matte box, the 504PLONG ensures your setup is securely balanced for optimal performance.

This long version of the standard plate allows perfect balance for camcorders with unusual weight distribution caused by long telescopic lenses or heavy batteries. Supplied with 1x1/4” and 1 x adapter from ¼’’ to 3/8” camera screws and anti-rotation pin.

Crafted with the renowned quality of Manfrotto, the plate is constructed from durable, lightweight aluminum, ensuring it can withstand the rigors of on-location shoots and daily studio use without adding significant weight to your gear. Its robust build provides a solid and reliable connection between your camera and the tripod head, giving you the confidence to execute dynamic camera work. The top surface features dedicated rubber grip strips that provide exceptional friction, preventing any rotation or slipping of the camera body once mounted and protecting its base from scratches.

Every detail of the 504PLONG is engineered for security and convenience. It comes equipped with a removable anti-rotation pin, a critical feature that prevents the camera from twisting on the plate during intense movements, safeguarding your equipment and preserving your shot´s alignment. Compatibility is seamless, as the plate is designed to work flawlessly with the popular Manfrotto 504HD fluid video head and other Manfrotto heads that utilize this plate system, making it a versatile and indispensable upgrade for your support system.
