Manfrotto 046MCG Expan Background Drive System with Grey Metal Chain

Elevate your studio photography and videography with the Manfrotto 046MCG Expan System. Designed for professionals and enthusiasts who demand efficiency and a pristine shooting environment, this background paper drive set transforms the way you manage your backdrops. It is an essential accessory for any creative space, ensuring your backgrounds are always ready, wrinkle-free, and easy to control.

Say goodbye to wrinkled paper, cumbersome setups, and wasted time. The 046MCG provides a fast and efficient solution for a single background roll, allowing you to switch between looks in seconds. The core of the system is its counterbalanced, metal chain drive. Operating much like a high-quality set of blinds, the sleek grey metal chain allows you to smoothly raise and lower your background with precision. This means you can adjust the height effortlessly to match your subject and lighting, all without ever needing to lower your support stands, maintaining a consistent and professional studio workflow.

Engineered for reliability by Manfrotto, a leader in photo-video accessories, this system boasts an impressive maximum payload of 10kg (22lb). This robust capacity ensures it can comfortably support even the heaviest and longest rolls of seamless paper, giving you peace of mind during any shoot. The durability is further enhanced by the inclusion of a metal chain, which offers superior longevity and a more tactile, professional feel compared to plastic alternatives.

The genius of the Expan system lies in its secure, expanding core. This Background Paper Drive Set is designed for one roll. You simply insert the drive into the cardboard core of your background roll. As you tighten it, the mechanism expands from a diameter of 46mm to 78mm, creating a secure, slip-free grip on the inside of the roll. This wide expansion range ensures compatibility with a vast majority of background paper brands on the market, making it a versatile and future-proof addition to your studio kit.
