Once again, it falls to Daniel Garner, in the unenviable position of being the bane of darkness and the plaything of Light, to battle hordes of beasts and demons.

To this end, he has been equipped with ´persuasive arguments´ such as stakes, spinning blades, and other useful equipment.

Along with extensive improvements to the graphics and redesign of the single-player campaign, the game mechanics have been refined and a ton of innovations have been introduced:

- Co-op mode: the entire single-player campaign can be played by two people.

The difficulty level adjusts according to the 2 players (either through the number of enemies or the amount of hit points).

- Survival mode: in survival mode, up to 8 players fight for survival in a limited area of a map.

Endless waves of enemy hordes rush upon the brave.

A glance at the leaderboard shows who stood their ground the longest.

Along with familiar classics like the Painkiller, the game´s pistol, shotgun, and electrodriver, a new instrument of death has been added to the arsenal: the Soulcatcher, also known as the SSG (Gun Sucking Small)
