The series has a cult following and is still played in tournaments.

It should be noted that the series has never been published outside of Japan.

This will also be the first time The Rumble Fish 2 comes to consoles.

Master a Deep and Strategic Combat System

At the heart of The Rumble Fish 2 lies its highly strategic gameplay, revolving around two distinct gauges for Offense and Defense. This system creates a dynamic and exhilarating battle flow, where managing your resources is just as important as executing flawless combos. The Offense gauge fuels powerful, game-changing offensive manoeuvres, while the Defense gauge provides access to crucial defensive techniques like the "Impact Break." This deep mechanical layer rewards tactical thinking and provides an incredibly high skill ceiling for dedicated players to explore. The addition of clear attack and defense indicators allows for instant readability, enabling both newcomers and veterans to make split-second strategic decisions and engage in high-level mind games.

A Visual Masterpiece Reborn on PS5

The Rumble Fish 2 was renowned in arcades for its "Smooth Model Animation" (S.M.A.) system, which delivered exceptionally fluid and detailed 2D character sprites. On the PS5, this iconic art style is preserved and enhanced, running with pristine clarity and smoothness. The elegant visual effects and dynamic character animations pop off the screen, creating a visual spectacle with every match. This new version fully embraces modern hardware with comprehensive support for 16:9 widescreen displays, allowing you to experience the beautiful hand-drawn art and intense action across your entire screen for the first time.
