The AF 50mm F1.4 FE II lens (large aperture standard) offers a 45.7˚ angle of view for full frame and 31.1˚ for APS-C, and a bright maximum aperture of F1.4.

In particular, optimal resolution is achieved through the optical design of 11 elements in 8 groups (2 ASP, 3 HR, and 1 ED).

Combined with Sony´s full-frame image sensor, this lens delivers superior sharpness and contrast in all areas of the image.

Fast and quiet AF performance.

This new lens is capable of tracking focus on subjects accurately and quickly, and the AF motor also operates quietly and smoothly when recording videos.

Samyang´s Linear STM (Stepping Motor) satisfies both photographers and videographers with quieter and more precise control of the larger and heavier focusing lens groups.

Impressive background blur and bokeh, with a bright F1.4 aperture.

The AF 50mm F1.4 FE II uses a large-diameter aperture to provide smooth background blur.

It effectively separates the subject from the background, using a shallow depth of field to capture a unique image in which the background is compressed.

The 9 diaphragm blades create a smooth and natural bokeh for spectacular portraits.

Less breathing for video recording.

The AF 50mm F1.4 FE II minimizes its breathing during video recording, so there are fewer changes in the angle of view when focusing, suppressing unwanted movements on the screen.

This is effective when recording videos with the subject moving forward or backward, or in situations where the focus is changed forward or backward.

Improved ease of use with custom switch.

There is a custom switch that the user can configure to allow aperture adjustment by rotating the focus ring. With the optional Lens Station, you can configure the mode according to your preferences*.

The minimum focal distance is only 0.40m (1.31ft), making it versatile and possible to produce a unique perspective close to the photographed subject.

It has a rubber focus ring with micro-patterning, making it pleasant to focus, and the weather sealing also protects the lens from light rain, snow, and dust.
