While everybody is using Garmin and other GPS-related head units to replace the old-style bike computers, I use the Sigma 10.0 as a backup to my Garmin. I like having ,,speed and distance on a wired unit to prevent errors from sampling on twisty roads or latency errors on start-stop, as well as just having ,,the backup in case the Garmin fails or runs out of power (or I can use the Garmin data if this unit fails). I like this Sigma model because it has the most needed features plus temperature, which is nice.

After 25 years my sigma BC800 was finally due for replacement. After years of loyal service it were finally the buttons that had given up. I stayed with Sigma because you can easily buy a separate sensor here so that I can easily use my bike computer on multiple bikes. For me the functionality is sufficient because I don't need all those things that you have on those expensive professional bike computers.

Does everything that I need & is overall good. Don't really like the white underside, but whatever. Would be perfect if they sold a spare bracket part that could be swapped out with leaving the cable-sensor you already have, since mounts break more than other parts in the chain & it would be a waste (both in money & resources wasted) to swap out the whole chain if you only need the plastic mount.

having ,used a Sigma 16.16 for about 26000 km, it became a little unreliable giving battery low readout with a new battery. I replaced it with a BC10.0WR. This has a clearer screen and is simpler to use with only one button when fitted to the bike (the rear button for setting is then hidden within the mount). I found that previous VDO wireless computers tended to pick up spurious signals from the elecric bike front motor (98km/hr up hill not very likely?) so bought the wired version. The cable ties to fit are more secure but I never had problems with the older rubber O ring type on the 16.16. The instructions show the cable wound around the brake cable and fork but the wire can come loose so I suggest using a few cable ties here as well. Altogether a well thought out design and very good value at Bikeinn.
