Achieve superior control and ergonomic comfort for your camera rig with the SMALLRIG 1870 Extension Arm. Expertly engineered for professional videographers and filmmakers, this essential accessory is used for handle extension, allowing you to position your grip for optimal balance and reduced fatigue during long shooting sessions. It’s the perfect solution for customizing your shoulder rig or handheld setup to your exact physical and creative needs.

The core of the 1870´s functionality is its seamless adjustability. Built on a high-quality NATO rail, the arm offers a generous extension range, smoothly adjusting from 168mm to 260mm. This allows for quick, tool-less repositioning of your handle on the fly, ensuring you can adapt to any shooting scenario without delay. For complete peace of mind during dynamic movements and demanding shoots, the extension arm is equipped with a robust safety screw. This vital feature is used to prevent the arm from accidental removal or sliding off the NATO rail, securing your valuable equipment and allowing you to focus on capturing the perfect shot.

Versatility is paramount, and the SMALLRIG 1870 excels with its industry-standard ARRI rosette. This connection point is ingeniously designed to function as both a female and a male head, dramatically expanding its compatibility. The ARRI rosette could attach a wide variety of rosette devices, making it a central hub for your rig. Seamlessly mount your preferred rosette handle, such as the ergonomic SmallRig Wooden Handle 1941 or the robust Arri Rosette Handle 1810, for a firm and comfortable grip. Furthermore, this extension arm integrates perfectly with other key rig components; the Arri rosette could attach directly to baseplates like the Sony FS5 Camcorder Baseplate 1827 and many other rosette-equipped devices, creating a stable and cohesive system.

Constructed from a high-grade, lightweight aluminum alloy, the SMALLRIG 1870 Extension Arm provides exceptional durability without adding unnecessary weight to your setup. Its precision-machined build ensures a solid, flex-free connection, offering the reliability required in professional environments. Whether building a complex cinematic rig or a streamlined run-and-gun setup, this extension arm provides the flexibility and security needed to enhance your operational efficiency and creative freedom.
