Ubiquiti UMA-D antenna

Ubiquiti UMA-D: High-Performance Directional Mesh Antenna for Extended Wi-Fi Coverage

Elevate your wireless network´s performance with the Ubiquiti UMA-D, a dual-band directional mesh antenna specifically engineered to optimize and extend the reach of your UniFi network. Designed for seamless integration with the Ubiquiti UniFi AC Mesh (UAP-AC-M) access point, the UMA-D transforms your standard mesh AP into a powerful, long-range bridge or a focused outdoor access point, delivering exceptional connectivity precisely where you need it. This antenna is the ideal solution for network administrators and installers looking to overcome distance limitations, reduce signal interference, and build highly reliable point-to-point or point-to-multipoint wireless links.

The core benefit of the UMA-D lies in its high-efficiency directional radiation pattern. While a standard omnidirectional antenna broadcasts a signal in all directions, the UMA-D concentrates the Wi-Fi signal into a focused beam. This beam-forming capability significantly increases the signal´s range and strength in a specific direction, making it perfect for extending network coverage to remote buildings, across large outdoor spaces like parks or event venues, or for providing stable connectivity to distant client devices. By focusing the energy, it also drastically improves signal isolation, rejecting unwanted RF noise and interference from other directions. The result is a cleaner, more stable, and faster wireless connection with an improved signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).

Engineered for durability and versatility, the UMA-D features a robust, weather-resistant enclosure that protects it from the elements, ensuring reliable performance in outdoor installations. Its innovative three-axis ball joint mount provides unparalleled aiming flexibility, allowing for precise alignment to establish the strongest possible link. Installation is remarkably straightforward: the antenna plugs directly into the UAP-AC-M access point, which can then be mounted on a pole or wall for optimal placement. This plug-and-play design, combined with its dual-band performance, ensures you can leverage both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands for maximum throughput and compatibility across all your devices.

Whether you are creating a wireless uplink to a satellite building, covering a specific sector of a campus, or deploying a high-performance mesh backbone, the Ubiquiti UMA-D directional antenna provides the focused power and reliability needed for the most demanding network environments.
