WD Red Pro 3.5´´ 20TB HDD

Western Digital WD Red Pro NAS Hard Drive.

Enterprise-grade hard drives designed to deliver high performance and reliability in business and commercial NAS environments.

WD Red® Pro drives have been designed to handle high-intensity workloads in demanding, multi-user, 24/7 enterprise and commercial NAS environments.

WD Red Pro drives provide the performance, scalability, and reliability that businesses need to store, share, and collaborate on large amounts of data in multi-bay NAS systems optimized for RAID.

Optimized for NAS with NASware.

Western Digital´s exclusive NASware™ technology fine-tunes drive parameters to match NAS system workloads, increasing performance and reliability.

Designed for continuous operation.

WD Red Pro hard drives are designed to meet the demanding requirements of high-intensity, multi-user, 24/7 NAS environments and increase system durability.

Tested and reliable compatibility.

Western Digital collaborates with a wide range of NAS system vendors to perform extensive testing to ensure compatibility with most NAS enclosures.

Protected against excessive vibration.

WD Red Pro drives feature rotational vibration (RV) sensors that actively prevent and counteract disturbances caused by increased vibration.

By dispersing excess vibration throughout the drive chassis, turbulence is reduced, performance is maintained, and drives are protected.

Designed to absorb impacts.

WD Red Pro hard drives feature a multi-axis shock sensor to detect subtle shocks and automatically compensate for them with dynamic fly height technology, thereby protecting the drives within NAS enclosures.

Designed with industry-leading technology.

WD Red Pro 22TB and 24TB hard drives feature Western Digital´s OptiNAND™ technology, which leverages integrated iNAND flash memory for key cleaning functions, freeing up more capacity and improving overall drive performance.

Desktop Drives vs. WD Red Pro.

To ensure optimal performance and preserve your valuable data, it´s important to choose a drive designed for RAID-optimized NAS systems.

Consider the following when choosing a hard drive for your NAS:
- Compatibility: Unlike desktop drives, WD Red Pro hard drives are specifically designed and tested for NAS and include NASware technology, which fine-tunes drive parameters to match NAS system workloads and optimize performance.
- Reliability: Desktop drives are typically not designed for the demands of an always-on NAS environment.
WD Red Pro hard drives are designed to deliver adequate performance under the demanding conditions found in high-intensity, multi-user, 24/7 NAS environments.
- RAID Ready: WD Red hard drives are designed with RAID error recovery control to reduce failures in multi-bay NAS systems, unlike most desktop drives, which are configured for generic use.
- Noise and Vibration Protection: Desktop drives are designed to operate independently and therefore typically offer little to no protection against the noise and vibration that affect multi-drive systems.
WD Red hard drives include rotational vibration (RV) sensors that actively prevent and counteract disturbances caused by increased vibration commonly found in multi-bay NAS systems.
